This gorgeously crafted clutch by textile design and development team, Tseler+Mendelovitch is constructed of 100% ebony wood. This particular type of wood is exclusive in itself as it takes over 100 years to mature. Truly a limited edition collectors’ item, this clutch is far more than just aesthetical statement piece. The accessory embodies the directional progression towards sculptural design through natural, sustainable resources.

Andrea Cammarosano FW1415

It’s always an exciting and refreshing moment when I happen upon new local talent, especially when said-talent is a fashion design instructor at Academy of Art University. Andrea Cammarosano, a San Francisco-based fashion designer, is the latest installment of “Menswear Monday.” The Italian-born designer’s Fall/Winter 2014-2015 collection, “We Are Not Afraid of Ruins,” is a high aesthetic menswear collection that not only looks good, but feels good too.

Knight, Foxton, and the SHOWstudio team collected and manipulated imagery from the Internet and reinterpreted the curated data into a culturally relevant film titled “#asif,” that exemplifies our digital reality. The creative team also shot and styled a complementary editorial that parallels the Internet-focused video.

Sitting among the presences of three generations of Missoni women—not to mention other industry leaders such as Suzy Menkes—Mazuki sent her graduating collection down the runway that not only demonstrated her education at the Academy, but proved she has what it takes to be a fashion designer.
